Third Thursdays
On MAY 15 and continuing on the 3rd Thursday of each month, we are offering a DVD and web-based small group study exploring beyond the traditions and rote theologies in which so many people and local churches seem to be stuck. The program will help members, seekers and “church alumni/ae” discover the relevance of Christianity in the 21st Century and what a meaningful faith can look like in today’s world.
Monthly sessions will include conversations with leading theologians, church leaders and biblical scholars such as
Marcus Borg, John Dominic Crossan, Bishop John Spong and Sister Helen Prejean
We will begin at 6:30 p.m. with a free supper. Then we'll discuss a new topic each month.
Reservations, which are requested but not required, can be made by calling 973-239-3212 and leaving a message with your name and the number of people attending.
If you would like some information about the topic of the week to read ahead of time, please email the church at fccv@verizon.net and ask for a copy of the background materials for the next LTQ session and we will email it to you. Or you can pick it up at church the Sunday before the session.
Previous sessions have included:
